Agricultural machinery of Agricom Group helps to cope with the aftermath of heavy snowfall
Local agricultural companies helped to deal with the aftermath of heavy snow in the villages: Mikhailo Kotsyubynske, Karkhivka, Krasne, Zolotynka, Skorynets and Shestovytsya. Enterprises of the national agro-industrial group Agricom Group involved vehicles that regularly cleared the snow. “Working on agricultural lands of local communities we cannot ignore problems of villages. Without mentioning small settlements, even in big cities there are many problems caused by snow in winter. We immediately reacted to the request of assistance and sent two tractors that regularly cleared roads after snow storms”, – said Vasyl Bursuk, head of Chernihiv Cluster of Agricom Group.
Fr om time to time, powerful vehicles are required in case of towing of trucks. “On 16 January 2016, a milk tank vehicle got stuck in the snow on the circular road in Chernihiv. For a long time, Road Patrol Service officers and highway service officers were trying to get this car out of the snow. We reacted to their request and sent a crawler tractor Challenger with capacity of 365 HP. High tire-road friction coefficient and 10.0 L engine effectively coped with towing of truck and got it out of the snow trap. This tractor confirmed its effectiveness not only in the fields, but also during wintertime – the milk tank vehicle successfully continued its way, “- Said Evgen Movchan, сhief engineer of Agricom Group.
Usage of agricultural machinery to cope with the snow and slippery surface becomes more popular considering a number of conditions. First of all, power and design of modern tractors allow to do the work as effective as specialized machinery of municipal services do. Secondly, the geographical proximity plays an important role. Thirdly, the fact that responsible agricultural workers react to the problems of local communities, where they cultivate their land.
Due to weather deterioration in Chernihiv region, a considerable number of roads were covered by a blanket of snow that significantly impacts the movement of pedestrians and vehicles. Agrarians also took part in problem solving and sent the powerful agricultural machinery to clear the roads and tow the vehicles.
