Аgricom Group had thrice reduced the fuel expenses

Thanks to the economical technologies during the current spring sowing the agricultural holding managed to protect the fields from soil moisture evaporation and wind erosion, as well as significantly reduce the cost of diesel fuel.

Recently, the agricultural holding Agricom Group started spring sowing – now three clusters are actively engaged in the spring field work. This season, the company plans to sow 3.5 thousand hectares of winter wedge (rye and wheat), 13 thousand hectares of sunflower, 9 thousand hectares of corn and 2.5 thousand hectares of oats.

Today, the sowing of oats has been completed and the seedlings have been obtained.

According to Agricom Group, vertical tillage has been introduced in the Chernihiv cluster and partly in the Bilokurakyne cluster this season. “In general, we have completely switched to plowless farming. The use of this technology allows us to obtain a certain “cushion” of plant residues in the crops for the next crop, which protects the fields from soil moisture evaporation and from wind erosion. And the cost of diesel fuel per 1 ha has decreased three times than with conventional tillage,” said Yevhen Horlo, Director of the Production and Development Department of Agricom Group.

In 2021, the agricultural holding continued the modernization of its technical park, additionally converting three plow-sowers for Precision Planting technology. This system allows to lay the seeds as evenly as possible contributing to better yield.
